Post Dark or Light Graphite Interior?

I am going to order a 2000 F-150 soon and I read a thread from someone that said the dark graphite interior is hot in the summer, and that it is better to get the lighter graphite interior. Does anyone have an opinion on which grey is better? I know this sounds nit-picky, but I want to get it right, you know?

Cool

I have the dark graphite and don't notice it being any hotter than usual in the summer.
I like the dark interior, it looks better after detailing.

I also have the dark graphite and I love it, except for the damn 60/40 seat. I had a light graphite in the 94 Ranger I used to have and it seemed like it yellowed out quite a bit after a few years of wear and cleaning. I highly recommend the captains chairs with the dark graphite. The color holds up well and does not show dirt as much as the light graphite. It does look nice detailed. When the dash is shined up my friend says it looks like "a big fat whale."

Question

Does anyone have any pictures of the Dark Graphite Interior? I ordered mine with the dark, based on the samples the dealer had. I'm pretty sure I'm going to love it, but would love to see what it's going to look like.

I have the Med. Graphite in the truck and the Dark Graphite in the Expedition. Both tones look great. You can't go wrong with either one.

I had the medium graphite interior in my 98 F-150..it looks nice..but sometimes looked like it was 'faded' from sunlight.

I ordered the Dark Graphite interior for my 2000 and I *REALLY* like it MUCH better! To me..it looks much nicer.

I seriously doubt you will notice much of a difference as far as which one is hotter. Now if you were getting a leather interior vs cloth..that would be a different story.

Hey Loser1!!!!

I am alive!!!!!

I have not seen any F-150 anywhere with the blue interior but I have seen a Willow green and the maroon color. Must be extremely rare.

Darrell,

Relax, the dark graphite interior will look super. I too prefer the dark interiors as the light ones show every scuff and stain.

I have the all blue outside and inside and like it very much. Since my wife takes care of my "body black and blue marks" I didn't want to be reminded with a "black and blue" truck so I opted for the dark denim interior with the Wedgewood Blue exterior.

This was my main gripe about Ford with the Lariats..... if they offered a dark leather interior such as a deep red, dark brown or blue I would have ordered one as I cringed at the thought of cleaning the light tan or gray leather and carpeting.

I guess my wine color interior will be a collectors item since it is no longer available. The only colors shown in the 2000 F150 catalog are Dark Denium Blue, Medium and Dark Graphite and Parchment. For the SuperCrew you only have a choice of Medium and Dark Graphite and Parchment. Not much of a choice for individualizing your truck. I saw 5 SuperCrews this weekend at a dealer and all had parchment, except one Lariat which had light graphite.

I ordered the dark graphite in my wedgewood blue SuperCrew. Just seemed like the thing to do at the time.

Since; I've looked at numerous SuperCrew's all with the parchment or medium graphite. Has anyone seen the dark graphite in a SuperCrew, and is the seat/material the same other than the darker color?

If so, quite pleased with my selection.

Seacrow, enjoyed the whale analogy. Wish Ford would put the 250/350 dashes in the 150.

cphilip,
It looks like the medium to me.

Does any one have any pictures of the dark that they can post?

Hey cphillip,
Looks to me like "Medium Graphite".
If I'm not mistaken, they only
make 4 colors for the interior
now. Medium Graphite (fairly
Light), Dark Graphite (dark grey),
Dark Denim Blue (limited to Oxford
White, Silver, Deep Wedgewood
Blue, and Black exterior colors)
and Medium Parchment (Tan).
I have the Medium Graphite
interior. Your dash color combo
(light/dark grey) looks exactly
like mine. Your seats are very
close.... I have the leather
seats, so the colors may be just a
tad bit different.
The Dark Graphite from what I've
heard is quite a bit darker....
almost like a real dark grey.
From the looks of your picture,
there's no way it could be Dark
Graphite. Nice interior and truck
by the way! I've seen a picture of your truck in one of my posts.... "Your Best Mod".

I have the med. graphite on my 2000 f150 xlt I also had that color in my 94 and 96 Mustang GT's and had no problem with it fading theres no way I could get the parchment as I just don't like that color either the med. or dark graphite are the 2 best you can't go wrong with either one of them.
