97-03 Console Questions, A Little Different

I know there has been plenty of discussion about 97-03 center console swaps, but I have a different one. I have an 02 Lariat with captains chairs (tall console) and I am getting a good deal on a JL stealthbox for the center console of a 97-01 (short console). I am looking into swapping to the shorter console to house the stealthbox, but figure while I'm at it I may as well swap to the Expy flow-through, or maybe even the Navigator flow-through console. How do the Expy/Navi consoles compare with the Scab short console from a 97-01 truck? If I get an expy console from a 97-01, is the rear part the same as a truck console? If not, I may just look into swapping to a 97-01 Scab console, there are probably plenty of those being replaced with Expy consoles. Any insight is greatly appreciated.

No one knows? Can I at least safely swap my 02 console for a 97 console without swapping seats too?

Yes, you can use the older console. I am not sure I know what you mean by tall and short. The main difference in the two different consoles are the widths. The wider ones were used once they deleted the armrests.

I have pictures of the different ones here.
