My truck is making a loud noise from the engine and I took it in to get fixed at Ford. They changed the IAC valve. When I got home, the noise started right back up. But the carpet also stood out for some reason. It looked like someone might have cut it or something. Does your carpet look like this under the pedals?

Yep... I think the carpet just caught your attention because you were looking for the culprit of your problem... my 01 looked identical (well, it had beige carpet).
