Sunvisor Stickers
Sunvisor Stickers
I had my FX4 supercrew for less than 2 weeks and i noticed 1 of the stickers on the drivers side sunvisor was starting to peel and getting worse by the day. I decided to take my time and peel the rest of it off and it came off pretty easy until i got to the last 1/2 inch. Now there is a little bit of the glue from the sticker left. Is there any way to get this off pretty easy or should i go complain to the dealer.........

don't complain to the dealer. they will just tell you that those stickers are not supposed to be removed.
try some goo-gone. But may sure you check the label that it is safe for use on fabrics (I'm not sure if it is)
there is also a safer, odor-free goo-gone that may be safe if the regular goo-gone is not.

Rob - I removed all of those stickers with a heat gun. The trick is to heat the glue side as you peel it off - not the surface side or the glue will seperate from the sticker rather than the felt material. I don't have kids and hate the way those BRIGHT yellow "you can be killed" sitickers look. I know it's a liability issue and Ford has to include them - but now that it's mine I can remove them w/o worry. (no kids ride in the truck and if one with a child seat did - they would be in the rear seat - no question)!
HotLap , thanks for the info...Actually i did use a heat gun before i read your post and got all the stickers off with no marks at all...Definately makes interior look better IMO
