Shiny slippery stuff???
Shiny slippery stuff???
Here's a question...
How do I remove the shiny slippery stuff that dealers put all over the interior on their used vehicles? I just picked up an 02 Lariat Screw today, and this stuff is all over the seats, steering wheel, dash, & door panels.
I really prefer the dull non-slippery type of interior.

I'll try that, thanks.
Hey, do you think Meguiars leather cleaner & conditioner will
restore the original dull look of the leather wrapped steering wheel, or do you think it just might have a permanent shine on it due to normal wear? I was thinking it was either normal wear or that stuff the dealer puts all over everything.
Just thought I'd ask.

Probably permanent.
I worked on my father's steering wheel with the exact same symptoms and, as a judgement call, I noted that it appeared that it had been 'polished' to the point that it couldn't go back to that matte look...
Abrasion between your hand and the wheel will cause this over a period of time. The only solution - replacement.

If you don't mind, one last technical question......
Will the Meguiars leather cleaner have any kind of a chemical reaction with that stuff the dealer puts all over everything that will attack the leather?
