Wood grain frame

I have a 2004 ( new body ) reg.cab F150.The only thing it came with is A/C & a radio.I was wondering how I can remove and install one of those wood grained frame things on the Lariat, that goes around & behind the radio and a/c & heater & cig.lighter.I know it would fit but I don't know how to take it off.Does anybody know where I could get one besides ford parts department.

Use a small screwdriver and a rag placed under the screwdriver so you don't damage the finish of the dash; carefully pry up and remove the storage tray on top of the dash, then the paneling surrounding the radio and climate control pops off in a similar manner. As far as buying one from someone other than Ford, I dunno; I don't think the trim panel from a Lariat will fit, since in trucks with standard climate controls, the panel is fit to the ***** of the climate control head. In a Lariat, where there's EATC, it's just one big oval shape.

the easier way to do it without using a screwdriver is just pop the ash tray open an start prying from the bottom corners using your fingers, go slowly an work your way up, i think theirs 3 clips on each side....
