60/40 seats install

Has anyone ever replaced there bench seat in their truck with a 60/40 split? I just got new 60/40 seats off ebay to replace my bench seat but after looking at them I realized that the 60/40 seats have more mounting points than the bench did. The bench seats have 4 mounting points and the new seats have 8. Do I have to drill holes in the truck to mount these seats properly or are the mounting holes already there?? The new seats came out of an XLT and I would think the holes would be there but I'm not sure. If anyone has done this or has any info please help me out. Thanks!

The holes should be there as most of the truck pans (we make them in my Plant) come off the same die. Poke around under the carpet and you should be able to find them.

I was planning on doing the same thing to my XL. I wanted to replace the carpet and I figured if I pulled the seats out then it would be the best time to swap with a 60/40. I just wasn't sure if the mounting holes were the same. Let me know how your project turns out. What did you pay for it off EBAY and how much was the shipping?

I got the seats for $279 plus $100 for shipping. The seller disassembled the seats for shipping purposes but they go back together pretty easy and they were shipped in 2 seperate boxes. They were in great condition too just like the seller claimed they were so I'm pretty happy that I won the auction. I plan on putting in the seats 2morrow (Dec. 31st) so I'll let you know how it turns out.
