muddy plastic

I have a spray on bedliner, that has muddy footprints in it, and also, the plastic stepsides and back bumper step. they all ahve mud on them. I am wondering if anybody has every found a way to clean that off? A friend of mine recomended gasoline. But that sounds dangerous and he said he has never done it before, but heard it really does work. Any input?

Run by the self-serve car wash and utilize their high-pressure wands... it should take it off pretty easily...

Be careful on your bed rails/bumper step. Those are plastic and I'm pretty darn sure you could scour the plastic with a high-pressure nozzle close to the plastic.

I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND GASOLINE. While I don't think it would cause a bunch of trouble on the bed liner (as most all of those are chem-resistant), it will accelerate deterioration on the plastics... It could even discolor them.
