I have looked at a bunch of post about the armrest on the late 90 bucket seats and still am wondering how to remove the armrests.

Has anyone done this?

 

I just took the armrest off using a "star" tool (end looks like a star). You can peel back the cloth/leatherette material carefully and also peel back any styrofoam and you will find the bolt way inside. JUst unscrew.
My problem is removing the pin that sticks out of the seat so I can put in a middle seat. If you solve that problem let me know.

Update: to remove the pin, first drill and tap a hole with threads so you can reattach quickly and in the same place then cut it off smooth.
