HELP! bench to 60/40 split conversion???

I am a nubie to this site, but it sounds like there are some very knowledgeable people that are subscribing. I just baught a 2004 f-150 Heritage XL standard cab pickup. love the truck, but the thing i dont like is the uncomfortable bench seat. I have found a 2003 60/40 split bench in my town that came out of an 03 XLT double cab. I am pretty sure it will fit. My bench seat bolts at either side(left and right), but the splt seat should need to bolt in the middle somewhere. I have the vinyl floor, and cannot tell if maybe there are some holes under that, otherwise it sound like I might have to drill :-( ??? I am hoping maybe someone out there has delt with this problem and has some advise.

Thanks,
Matt

Thumbs up

Try crawling underneath and see if they're already there. Logic says they will be. Think about how many trucks they build, it makes no sense to have several different floors for all these models of trucks.,,,,98

They will probably look like small square blocks with holes in the middle. They might have some soft grey putty in them. Mine had that around the bolts inside, to seal it off from moisture.
