Help! Wife is upet

This has been going on for a while now. I made the mistake of cleaning my leather seats and wife is upset. Every time I stop for a light she slides forward under the seat belt. I don't have a problem because I have the power seat w/tilt. What can I do to make them less slick? She mentioned seat covers and I want to get the wet okoles. Any ideas?
What I learned-If MaMa ain't happy, Ain't nobody happy! LOL!

Get her some "special" shoes that she has to wear in the truck...you know the kind with the 6" platform soles so she can squarely plant her feet to the floor board.

Is your wife 70lbs or what?! Anywho, only thing I would imagine you can do is a damp cloth and try to remove some of the conditioner, then follow up with a dry terry cloth and buff dry. The remaining will wear off over time...

Although this is wise, I don't think that YOU made any mistake. Between the men, she's lucky to have someone that would take the time to condition/clean leather. Take pride in your work and tell her that you've done everything to resolve the problem. Maybe she needs a race clip to keep her seatbelt locked.

Just for our knowledge, what product(s) did you utilize to achieve 'slick' results?

To remove it, you can try using a washcloth (terry towel -- 100% cotton high-pile) and scalding water to remove the majority of the conditioner or protectant that you used. It may still be a bit slick but, pending your wife's butt continues to slide across it, it'll go away.

*shrugs*

Although RockPick is right on the money (as usual) with his recommendation, think of the other advantages of Velcro. For instance, "Honey, sit (or stay)!" will now lead to a meaningful result.

But seriously, many leather care products will lead to some degree of "friction degradation." In all cases, it will wear off over time.

Use Meguiar's #40 Professional Vinyl & Rubber Cleaner/Conditioner, it is absolutely the best, and lasts a LONG time. Gives the truck a nice new smeel too!

They also make a great leather cleaner/conditioner that leaves the leather natural looking. No greasy mess!
