Interior door handle question

My 2003 just came out of the bodyshop after some idiot crossed the centerline. Since I have been looking at the truck with a fine tooth comb and noticed that the left interior door handle sticks out considerabky farther than the right one. Is this normal? When the body shop took the left one off (since they had worked on door) they found nothing wrong.

Geesh man... I'm not sure what to tell you...

Isn't the handle attached to a longer metal 'rod' of sorts that activates the door mechanism? Could that rod be bent?

The handles are physically different. The pass side is almost flush and the drivers side stick out far enough o that you can put your hand in comfortably.

Can you get a picture for us? I'm still a bit confused as to what you're describing...

Sounds like the repair shop may have skimped on replacement parts rather than getting OEM. Either that, or the screwed up the order and got the wrong thing.

It sounds like its not seated all the way.It snaps into the door and is held on by 2 -10mm nuts.It just sounds like they didnt snap it in all the way and tightened the nuts down while it wasnt seatedall the way.
