Leather Care
Leather Care
What do ya'll recommend to use on the leather of my 2000 f-150?
I've been using some mequires leather treatment, but was wondering if there was anything more powerful. My seats are starting to crack on the sides a little bit.
Also I've seen some type of spray that you can restore the seats with but couldnt find it anywhere, if you have any info if will be greatly appreciated

Leather care should, in my opinion, always be a TWO STEP process (if not more).
Because it's a Lariat, I know you have 'coated' leather in your truck and secondly, based on the fact that it's a 2000, I suspect that you probably have some 'ground in dirt' that is difficult to remove.
I'm going to recommend more Meguiar's to you but, it's just an opinion on a few products that I've used on heavily soiled coated leather with EXCEPTIONAL success.
Procedure:
1. Get a bucket full of very warm (almost hot) water and a wash rag (one that you don't mind getting dirty). Wipe the seats down with a moist/hot washrag to remove surficial dirt. This will also aid in opening the pores of the leather as well as the clear coating.
2. Meguiar's Gold Class Rich Leather Aloe Cleaner per the directions. Multiple applications may be necessary depending on the soiling.
3. Meguiar's Gold Class Rich Leather Aloe Conditioner. Two thin, even coats to all leather seating surfaces and leather arm rests (if applicable). I don't recommend ANYTHING on the steering wheel for safety reasons.
I think you'll be pleased with those products.
