My buddy has a rattle in the right front door of his 97 lariat and wants to remove the panel . What he needs to know is how to do it without ruining anything. Any help please?

 

I needed to remove my left front to get at the window. I assumed it came off like old door panels and ended up breaking all the clips.
Remove the courtest light lens on the lower corner and you'll find a screw. Remove the window/lock control panel. It's clipped on and you should be able to just pry upward gently w/ a screwdriver. There will be another screw under the back edge of the opening against the door. Remove the trim piece at the top front corner. It's only held on by push pins. There's another screw under there. Remove the inside door handle (8 mm wrench). Then pull up on the door panel and it should come off.
