Blue Jean Stain

I have a stain on my leather seats from blue jeans (i think that is what its from). Its a blue stain right on the bottom of the back part of the seat. I have tried to clean it off with the turtle wax leather cleaner and had no luck. I was wondering if any of you have had this happen to you and what could i use to clean it. Thank you

Unfortunately, what has probably happend is that the pigment from your jeans has stained the pigment in the leather. I don't know exactly what to tell you as it's nearly impossible to remove.

We had a member over on meguiarsonline.com with an IDENTICAL problem and he over worked the area where the stain was and ultimately ruined his seat cover. With that in mind, I'd take it to an interior upholstry shop and see what they can do.

The leather has a 'coating' on it (often called clear coating) that is there to protect against stuff like this but, when the conditions are right, this coating is very porus and ultimately can soak up the pigments from other articles of clothing.

Good luck and let us know how it turns out.
