Question Interior Color Mismatch

Is it normal for interior parts to have mismatched colors? I found this out while taking out the pillar covers to put in Dynamat. The whole dash is actually dark graphite and the A pillar (or B pillar or whatever it's called) is actually a medium graphite. Now both pillars do match in color but just don't match the dash. Is this normal though or they ran out of parts at the factory and slapped some in as a quick fix? The difference is subtle and you have to look very closely to notice.

Like Mike mentioned... same thing in my 01 King Ranch. Further, you'll notice that if you order touch-up paint for something in your interior, it may or may not match what you're painting. It will, however, most likely match something in the cab.
