power door locks not really working anymore

hey there, i bought my f-150 about a year ago. it came with aftermarket exhaust. i loved the sound, but i have some hearing loss, so it was a little too loud for me to talk to people while driving. instead of putting on a factory muffler, i dynamatted the entire car. now the noise while driving is minimal.

however, it seems that my power door locks don't seem to work anymore. i did indeed dynamat in the doors, but i've checked many times to see if any dynamat is interfering with the door lock --- nothing.

when i hit the button to lock or unlock the doors, the lock gives a little motion -- but it's usually just a nudge. in order to fully lock my door, i have to hit the button a couple times, at least.

anyone have any idea what's going on? i'm damn sure theres no dynamat in the way.

might i add this problem is occuring on both doors, and it happened at the same time. i just took off the panel, and there is NO dynamat in the way of the doorlock or any mechanism. maybe i put an underpowered fuse in somewhere?

Did you try new actuators? I have the same problem and I'm thinking of doing that.

Any dealer or www.fordpartsonline.com is where I got mine. Takes a little time to change one out. Don't be alarmed if the part you take out is different that the part you put in. The new actuator is a little smaller and easier to install.
