Repairing mount holes in dash

Hey,

A friend of mine just got a '01 F150 that has had a radio mounted to the dash just below the radio. We were looking mine over a while ago and noticed that someone had a radio or something mounted at approx the same place on my '01 F150. However, someone had filled the holes in mine so well that they were hardly noticable.

Question is...does anyone know what may have been used that matched so well?

Thanks in advance,

Dan

I wish I knew the answer to that but I know what you're talking about. When I was truck shopping I looked at a truck with similar holes only it was to mount a CB radio. I hemmed and hawed over it and the salesman said they had a guy who could fill those holes to where you'd never notice them if you didn't know they were there. He showed me a different truck the guy had done and it really was a good job, but I didn't end up buying that truck so I never inquired further. If nobody else comes up with an answer for you then you may try calling a couple of dealers - maybe one of them uses a similar service.

Sorry I don't have the exact answer for you, but hope this helps all the same.

Check out Leather Magic. They recently changed their web site and now its harder to find what you want, but they sell color matched repair kits. I recently repaired one of my second row headrests and its a perfect color match.

Hope this helps

Is this only for Leather? This is the plastic dash that I am looking for. Just curious.

Thanks for the post,

Dan
