hi all!
my daughter has a 97 or 98 monte carlo (sorry ford lovers). her passenger seat won't adjust the back of the seat now. it is in too much of a lean. when you pull up the adjustment lever on the side it doesn't do anything
any advice?

Try a screwdriver, I work on cars but I am NOT a mechanic, sometimes a screwdriver works for me. It could be the little spring inside is stuck, I am not sure about Monte Carlos though.

this happened on my F150.

the problem was a sticky lever... but not the recline, the one that allows the seat to go all the way foward to access the rear.


give that a try.
