removing kick panel/sill plate
removing kick panel/sill plate
I need to remove the driver's side kick panel and sill plate on my '02 F-150. How do I remove these pieces? Do I just pry them up? Will I need to replace some clips?
PS, in case my terms are off, the kick panel is the plastic piece to the left of your left foot. The sill plate attaches to the inner rocker panel and runs underneath the door, it's the thing you step in while getting in/out and has a Ford oval in the middle of it.

Like I posted down in F-250...
If it's like the F-150, the kick panel and the door sill plate are both mounted with 'clips'. To remove them, you simply give them a good tug away from their respective locations...
Ford LOVES using clips... they're everywhere on nearly every single one of their vehicles. A company named LEER actually makes most of interior systems....
Give that a whirl... I think it'll probably work for you...
