End cap on gear shifter - need replacement

End cap on gear shifter - need replacement

Anyone have ideas on how to find replacement ring on the end of the gear shifter?

These things fall off by the dozen, my dealer has a bag of them at the parts counter. They have been improved to last longer.

they have small cheap plastic clips that break easily.

Minimal cost from the dealer.

Cheap

Last time I bought one it was about $4 (in the late 90's).

Was for a mid 90's F450.... Same as they are on all the other shifters from that era.

Thanks for posting the part number. Ordered one for my F250, it popped off on me and rolled right out of the cab the next time I opened the door. Never to be heard from again.

Haha, same thing happened to me, but I found mine after searching behind the seat three times, it doesn't stand out really well when you're looking for it

I bought a couple last time I ordered from Silverstate ford. Keep an extra in teh glove box.
