OEM Vinyl floormats don't fit right on drivers side?

Is the left floor pad (have no idea why this would be left uncovered, emergency break?) and the area under the gas pedal (i guess i could see this) supposed to be uncovered? I'm gunna post a pic tonight.. i paid $100 for these things off fordaccessories.com and the drivers side doesn't look like it fits well

I have the "Ford F-Series" all weather mats that are the same on the drivers side for my Screw. I think they do that so the accelerator doesn't get stuck under the edge of the mat when you floor it.
Laugh if you want, but that happened to me in my Dads Dodge about 10 years ago......talk about pucker factor

Anyway....i dont care for them being cut that way, but other than that, mine are really nice....match the carpet color perfect. After i put mine in, my embroidered mats have stayed in the attic.
