I thought the 99 was the narrower one, made for use with the capitan's chairs with the arm wrest attached to the seat. This would fit nice in the Gen I SCrew's and the likes. The seats without the arm wrest on them have a wider console, at least that is what my memory is telling me at the moment.

Maybe I got it wrong ?? who knows.

 

Thats why I ask..I looked all over for one for my '97 and no sooner than I get a '03 I get my hands on one..gonna go get Saturday
