BUMMER 303 made my clear gauges turn white
I have been using 303 protectant for a while and now my clear cover over the gauges turned all foggy white. I have tried all sorts of cleaners to try and get it clear again with no success. In fact most everything made it worse. Any suggestions cause it looks bad!!
Thanks

I use 303 too but I've never put it on the clear gauge cover. Once my dad was helping me clean out my S-10 Blazer (looooooong time ago) and he got some Armor All on that clear plastic and the stain was there for life. I think it soaks into the pores or something.
I would have thought that the 303 would come off though because it's a water-based silcone free product

Meguiar's
Meguiar's makes a "clear plastic" cleaner. I haven't tried it but I just thought i'd mention it.

Frank:
FWIW, I did a newsgroup search for your problem. Granted it was not as extensive, but I did come across a thread on a Mazda newsgroup (or was it Mitsubishi?)......someone with chemically-induced hazing of the speedo plastic........they used Mother's plastic polish (I think they called it Mothers plastic cleaner/polish, but I couldn't find such a product listed) to get rid of the haze. Haven't tried that product, and never had the problem you're having, so who knows. If you do try it, I"d suggest you use it on a small area and work the product in well before you decide if it's worked or not.
