Anyone else notice the secret compartment in the glovebox?

I noticed this a couple of years ago. I was at the dealer today looking at '04's and noticed that they aren't there anymore.

too bad.

when you open the door to the glove box you are looking at the actual storage area attached to the door... if you look to the side of the actual storage box there is an opening that goes in quite deep. Its large enough to hold a bunch of 8-1/2 x 11 letters folded in 3 (like service records)

Well I'll be!! You are correct. You really can't see it unless you are in the passenger seat. (It's on the right side of the box). Just what I needed to relieve an overstuffed glovebox. It's the little things in life that make me happy...

there is so much room behind the dash, I think its a great idea to have that little cubby-hole.

Like I said, I store all of my service records in there so they dont take up room in the Focus sized glove box.

I've got mine jammed full it fits the owners manual perfectly
and some service warranties and my insurance papers.
It's great no more slamming papers in the glove box door latch.

never noticed it

Finally a good place to put my streetguides and road maps! Actually, underneath the CD holder thing in the center console (captains chairs) is a good enough place, but what the heck its neat to find new things!!!

Glock stash

The mid-size Glocks (19 or 23) fit perfectly in this little cubbyhole.
