Anyone know what these are for?

I just got a '03 F-150 extended cab. Right above the rear seat where it meets the back glass are three sets of nylon straps. There kinda just sticking up and I have yet to see a use for them. Anyone know what they are for or found a use for them? Thinking about cramming them back behind the seat but wanted to try to figure out what they were first. Thanks!!!

Do they have any thing to do with folding the seat or securing it after it's folded?

Its the part that you lean against and its an extended cab not a super crew and to my knowledge that part of the seat doesnt move. I'm at a loss...

Tex is right, those are LATCH anchors for car seats.

Dont think I'll be needing those.

Time to cram them where they can't be seen....

Out of curiosity....

How did you take them out completely? Cut them? I imagine you can take the upper seat out to get to where they are mounted, but it seems like it would be a pain. I tried cramming mine behind the seat but they kinda wadded up and are pushing the seat padding forward some. Thanks!

need to hire the guy who ties the rubber bands around them and mounts them...thats a cruel trick Ford pulls...you see them and you pull the rubber band off then relize what they are then you can't get it back on

Removed the back seat and pulled them out. Took the back seat out more out of curiousity in the first place.

Hey,

How involved is removing the seat? I had thought about doing it but did not see what had to be done to get it out. It looks like you need to remove a bolt somewhere and then slide it up? Some quick instructions would be great! Thanks!!!
