I want to remove the rear seat in my '01 xlt sc to give me more "interior"cargo space. It appears to be somewhat of a hassle to do this so I wonder if anyone might have a tip to make the removal a bit easier. Thanks........................

 

The seat bottom will come out fairly easy but you will have the studs sticking up from the flooring. The seatback is a little more difficult to remove. You will need to remove the bottom bolts and pull forward and the top will slip out. It is unfinished behind the seat on my 99 Lariat. You will need to fabricate a rack to cover the stud bolts that protrude and to provide tie down points. For the effort to get 4 to 5 inches more space it will be a lot of work.

 

So, you have an 01' supercrew that you wish to remove the rear seat from? Is it a bench seat? Do you wanna get rid of it?
