Question passenger seat-belt

ok,this might sound funny but my passenger side seat belt faces the outside of the truck instead of the inside.i have no idea how this could have happened, but how do you fix it?????? when you go to buckle it you have to twist the belt to get it to buckle......understand?maybe my 5 year old can shed some light on her seatbelt!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I understand exactly what you're saying. It's all about flipping the buckle around on the strap and, to do that, it'll take some ingenuity... which as most will tell you, I have very little.

What I would suggest is seeing if you can fold the belt in half such that you can turn the buckle around on the strap. It'll be a MEGA tight fit but I remember having to do it on my Explorer XLT when I had that vehicle. I was able to do it but I ended up using a pair of vice-grips to get a hold of it to turn it around. Use the vice-grips to hold/pull the belt, not the buckle.

Best of luck

I second the vote on folding the belt in half... this is probably how it got reversed in the first place.

A trick I once heard to to wet the seat belt with water (wont stain, wont degrade webbing)

Makes the belt flexible while you do this and acts as a lube

Folding the belt is the only solution I know of. My kids have done it too, just something the little ones have a knack for. It sure is a pain to rectify though.
