Question Replacement Cushion??

I have a '99 xlt supercab with the 40/60 split. The seat cushion on the drivers side is shot. It is like sitting in a hole. My question is can I buy just the cushion it self? And if so any idea how much one would cost? Should be pretty easy to swap them out.

Thanks in advance.

seat cushion

Be careful to check material if you buy new one I had my back seat reskinned with Ford replacement seat cover and the material changed even though my truck is a 2002. I would definately search the junkyards and if you find a beige 60 portion of a 60/40 split back seat let me know

If you are only looking for the foam, and don't have heated seats, you can have a upholstery shop do it.

I had my last truck refoamed for ~ 30.00, and he used heavier foam then came stock.

If you have heated seats, you might want to do it yourself, unless you trust them to put the elements in correctly.

It is actually not too bad if you buy a set of hog ring pilars and a cover pilars ( can also make this by welding a wide flat piece of metal to a set of slip joint pilars ).

You can get hog ring pilars at just about any tool place like Eastwood or maybe even harbor freight.

Just a thought, rather then getting used ones, that maybe the previous owner had crabs

Similar to what SSCULLY posted, I had a local uphostery shop re-do that bottom cushion on my '93 Ford Explorer that was worn out. The shop put denser foam in the cushion and matched that factory uphostery perfectly. Think the whole thing cost me around $100 and the seat felt better than stock after I got it back!
