Question Keyless Entry

Back to Ford again from being a Chevy owner for past 8 years. Glad to be back. Purchased a gorgeous 1998 F150, but neither i nor the dealer could determine if mine has the Keyless Entry option.

any clues beyond the instructions in the book about turning the ignition on and off 8 times within 10 seconds? i've already tried that and didn't see the locks go up, but the FORD parts dept told me they had trouble getting one to do that every time. Sort of a trick to that manuever.

here's my question... is there another indicator (preferrably visible) that would let me know if i have or don't have this option installed on my nice F150...

comments welcome

thanks

If you look under your dash on the drivers side against the firewall you should see a small white box, this box will have numbers on it that are your codes for the keypad, but is also the brain for keyless entry.
