Question How much to reupholster a 99/up 60/40?

Has anyone had a 60/40 reupholstered in vinyl, or cloth?? I'm looking for prices, to decide whether to buy premade covers, or have my seats done. I'd love to have leather, but it's just not in the cards price wise. Sooo, how much has anybody paid to recover an entire 60/40 seat?,,,,98

I priced a set of buckets ten years ago, and it was $125 a piece then. That's the only reference I have to go by.

I'm sure you'd find covers at eBay. I got my leather seat covers there for around $120.00.

It's not that complicated to replace them either. You simply need to take the seats out of the truck, pull the old covers off and put the new ones on.

Thanks, I'm loving these new rims. It made a big difference in the appearance of the truck!
Still no seat covers, They were supposedly shipped Monday, so any day now I hope. My interior looks way different now, just waiting on a few odds and ends that should be here this week.
I won't hesitate to post pics, believe me ,,,,98

Man, you HAVE to love a business that thinks this much about their quality!! He took a look at the covers before he shipped them out, and decided to redo them! They weren't to his satisfaction. He's fixing the problem and sending them DHL next day air at no extra charge!! I will order from him again if I do another vehicle interior!! Thanks Jose!,,,,98

98,

You said you have a 40/60. Are your covers separate with one covering 40 and one 60? I've checked around and have yet to find such a cover. Some members just get by with a partically covered seat or a raised arm rest. No way. I'd rather have the real thing.

Thanks.

It's a full cover set. One 40 bottom, one 60 bottom, two forty tops, and an arm rest cover. They were $278 with shipping, so not your average slip on covers one would hope. I'll know in a couple of hours for sure. Wet Okole sells a true 60/40 cover, and a couple of other comanies do as well. These just happened to catch my attention because the pics show very nice fitting covers, for about the same price as the W/O's.,,,,98

Angry

Well, I'm not happy with the fit. I asked him over and over and over if they would make a "bridge" on the seat, and he assured me they would fit great. They definitely do make a bridge, and they are so tight they crush the side bolsters down This is not something I'd put in my truck if the fit of just the seat backs is any indication. Too bad, I had hoped for so much more. ,,,,98

Awaiting an answer now on what their return policy is..........$278???? not in my personal opinion.....

Just my opinion, but don't you want to take the old seat cover off first? I would think it would fit better then!

That's the whole thing right there, though? They are supposed to go on over the factory covers, according to their instructions and website? I took the factory cover off on the drivers' seat, the first two pics. The third pic is of the passengers' seat, the best fitting of the two. I can stick my fist into the bridged area, with only barely noticeable lifting of the backrest center. That's a lot of airspace which makes the front backrest look like a two toned school bus seat. It's just that this is a little disappointing for the amount of money spent.,,,,98

Maybe if worse comes to worse, the best thing to do is have the hog ring attachments installed in the new covers. That would hold them down into the seat, and I would be much happier?

That sucks. It's a good thing I checked first. Now off I go on my neverending quest for a perfect seat cover.. Then there are the amps, speakers, subs, more stainless tips.. Oh man, when will I ever be happy?! LOL.

Lightbulb

I'm giving them a few days to conform, we'll see what happens. If they get better, then Maybe they can stay. I got the whole passengers' side seat done, and it really doesn't look too bad. Finshed pics tomorrow hopefully. For the whole interior. It's been two weeks of a lot of work, but it comes together tomorrow finally. I hope?,,,,,98
