Hey. I"m going to be taking the interior out of my truck, being seat and carpet, and would like to get the stains out of the carpet and seat. I was wondering if i should rent one of those shampoo vacuums from westlakes or what should i do?

Check out INTELs post on 'and $1,400.00 later... 'in the interior section I think.

He just bought a machine that he says works good.

Myself I just have always used a little Green Machine Pro Heat, and Resolve or Oxy Clean as the cleaning solution before and just run clear hot water through the little green machine.

It has taken up all the stains in my truck, including coffee stains.

The little green machine can be bought at Target for under $100.00, and you will always have it, rather then buying one for someone else by renting it.

If you are doing the whole floor, it might take awhile, but in the future, you would have it for small spills that happen.

If you want to spend a little more, they make the full size Pro heat, while also includes the hand attachements. You could use the floor part of it for the carpet, and the hand attachment for the seats, but this is a 250+ investment. ( also went halves on one of these with my parents ), but you can also use it at home on the carpets.

If nothing else, check INTELs post, so you know the make of the machine to rent, if you don't want to buy a hoem use one yourself.

Just some ideas...sorry have never used the specific one that you refered to know if it would do the job or not.

Thumbs up

I'm going to have my seats out also in the next week or two, to put on covers and dye some trim panels on them. I'm thinking about renting a professional carpet cleaner also, but it will HAVE to have a handheld attachment for the carpet, too many curves and bumps for a floor model. Check around for "tool rental" places. They always have that sort of thing, and you'd oonly need it for a day really(couple of hours?) Good luck man, I'm in the same boat.,,,,98

New carpet soon as I can swing it!!

Just an idea, but I priced out a new set of carpet for my supercab truck, at $140 plus shipping. A regular cab could only be cheaper. Logical assumption? For double the price of a cleaner rental, you could have a new set possibly?
