I recently had an aftermarket head unit installed and subsequently lost the functionality of my ambient lighting because they removed the apim.

I have noticed the lighting still comes on when I open a door and the courtesy lights come on.

I am wondering if their is a way to hard wire or bypass the apim to regain power to the system when my headlights come on.

I don’t need to be able to change colors etc like I could before. Just essentially would like to power them on when my headlights come on.

any ideas are appreciated. Thank you.
