2014 F150 Left headlight intermittently on High Beam

The driver's side headlamp on my 2014 F150 is often on high beam, even when the controls are set for low. Very annoying and unsafe for other drivers.

The back of the driver-side headlamp. Not something I've seen before.

I'd rather take care of this myself rather than have a tech service it ($$ and satisfaction). YouTube vids just show changing the Sylvania bulb; this isn't that. I'm not familiar with this light. Haven't checked the other side to make sure they're the same. I'll do that today.

What suggestions do you have for this situation?

Thanks for any help.

Bruce

That's a Xenon HID headlight. They were factory on certain models.
