My 09 head lights suck. Help me.

Just finished a 500 mile round trip run through the rain in Alaska's Kenai Mountains. Often found myself wanting more light, especially when confronted with the bozos running plug and play hid's. Way too many of those up here. Also meeting the freight trucks running led light bars that they were slow in turning off. What is the latest and greatest I can use on my 09 Larait? Not looking to wow the skinny jeans crowd with how well they look sitting in a parking lot. I want to see that 2000 pound moose that is crossing the road up ahead. I can handle my own off road lights behind the grill. I want something to replace my stock head lights.

Yeah I get that, but don't know where to start. Looked at Ebay and left confused. Would switching to led bulbs help at all?

No it would be worse.
There are many how to's out there in retrofitting your headlights. ( it's the act of opening your headlights and installing good projectors into your OEM reflector bowl via cutting and bolting or JB welding in place, or a threaded shaft thru the back).
I actually have a set of retrofits for your year truck already built and ready to go. I'll get you the link if you like.
