2012 Ford F150 Rigid D2 Light help
So I have a 2012 F150 with factory driving lamps, I dont want to drill holes in my dash in order to mount a swith for the rigid D2 lights that I mounted on either side of my license plate. Has any one used the factory driving light switch as a trigger for the D2. In other words tap off the factory driving light wire to the relay as a trigger.

No drilling required in this case.

The Rigid D2 came with a harness with a switch, Plan is to find the switch power from the factory driving lights and wire that to the Rigid relay thus getting rid of the physical switch, Power from the battery is already fused, What are your thoughts
Easier to tap into one of the positive leads to one of the existing Fogs as the 'trigger', rather than going to the panel switch. Install relay on the firewall near a ground junction. Everything done under the hood - no runs through the firewall. No extra switches to mount.
EDIT - what is the current draw for each unit? If it's very low, you *May* be able to just connect them directly to the existing fog power. Personally - not advocating this - I'd still use a relay, but other have done exactly that.
