HID help, best for your money

Hey guys, I have an 07 F150, I want that super crisp white, with the smallest hint of blue look from my headlights, so I want to get HIDS.
I want to use the stock headlights and get the hid kits for them, what do you think the best place to order them from is, how much did you guys spend and whats the best wattage to get so I don't get that annoying blue look.

Thanks For the help in advance!

You'll want to do a retrofit so it is done right. Check out http://www.theretrofitsource.com/ for parts and accessories. There are guys on here that have done retrofits themselves that turn out awesome: https://www.f150online.com/forums/il...t-members.html

If you want to learn how to do it yourself, check out TRS's youtube channel for How-To's: https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCMk...L0839coebIH18w

If you want to pay someone to do it for you, check out http://www.raptorretrofit.com/ or http://www.bilinvic-retrofits.com/re...-packages.html.

But please, don't just slap some PnP HID bulbs in your stock housings. This is how you will look, how you will be dangerous, and how we will make fun of you: https://www.f150online.com/forums/il...stupidity.html

If you don't have the cash to do the retrofit, please stay with halogen bulbs and upgrade to some Sylvania Ultras or PIAA bulbs. Good luck!

MGD, did I do it right?

Edit: I don't think raptorretrofit does pre-09' lights now that I think about it. Bil does, though. And I think saleen (can't remember exact username) does them for 04-08 as well.

Avoid cheap pnp Kits from Ebay they are junk and the price shows it..

For warning just throwing in HIDs into your stock housing will cause unwanted glare, un-uniformed, horrible output, and blind other motorists..
If you want pure white go 5000k. That's my personal favorite too but went 4300k in my retro for the sake of better foul weather driving..
Theretrofitsource.com will be the best place to buy any HIDs. Their price is a little more but the quality and customer service back that up.
Right now there is a group buy for 25% off there until Friday (check my other thread in this section)

Honestly take a few minutes to look at the stickies in this section. It will teach you about HIDS vs halogens. Also check out the retrofit members sticky to see the process of doing HIDs the right way..

Have anymore questions just ask.

learning something already!, thanks I wasn't aware you couldn't just pop them in the stock headlights. I will read some threads and decide what I want to do, if the slyvania ultras are that white I might just go with them for now... thanks for the advice

They end up around 4000k or so which is an off white or warm white.
