2013 HID, terrible blind spot

Hey all,

I have a 2013 FX4 with HID, and I've noticed a terrible lighting blind spot to the sides of the truck at night. The HIDs just don't project sideways enough. Driving over a curvy mountain road, or even turning into a driveway, there is absolutely no light where you need it to be able to look into the turn.

It's really disappointing.

Has anyone else experienced this? Better yet, has anyone fixed it?

At this point I'd be far happier with some traditional halogens that have good side light over the HIDs...and it shouldn't be that way!

I reached out to projectorretrofits.com to see what advice he had.

I'm hoping that I can either change the projectors out to something with a much wider angle, or add some rugged led fogs that will get what I'm looking for.

Any experiences, thoughts, or advice is welcome!

Thanks,
Peter

I guarantee you can make a nice chunk of coin really, really quick if you actually feel that way

You can swap out the projector to an evox-r. Can't guarantee it'll be any wider but it will have better performance.

Post a picture, so we can see what you mean. I just want to see if your projectors are out of whack or if it's normal.

Have you tried with your fogs on? I do notice the cut off is very dramatic I havent had any issues driving.
