Well I trust my neighbor, and the one other whom I've asked. But it doesn't affect me cause I don't like smoked lights. I was pulled over at least twice that I know of, if not 4 or 5 times, while I had smoked ones on and not a word was said about them. I get pulled over quite a bit

I agree with Stealth. According to the guy inspecting my truck, ANY added "smoke" or other finish that is applied to the front and/or rear lights that reduces the specific light output as designed by the factory, should be considered illegal and not be approved by an inspector.

That's nothing new, it's just that(at least in Texas) they are forcing shop's that do Inspections, to enforce the law more aggressively.

Well, that sucks for Texans. I have never been hassled or even looked at funny by LEOs. I'm glad we don't have inspections here, only SMOG every other year after your vehicle is 5 model years old. I passed SMOG with my Magnaflow race series 14158 that ends under the cab and SuperChips canned 87 tune.

I am a licensed inspector, I'd be happy to post the official Tx document....

Now that Rob said that, I do agree that the law is anything inhibiting light output is illegal. I know I've heard/read that before and it sounds right. But I've been told by two guys that actually care about pulling people over for it, and they told me the reverse strip deal, so that's what I'll go by. But I do agree
