How to install a trans temp gauge?

I just got a glowshift trans temp gauge. These are the instructions on the sheet. Remove the stock sender unit for the warning light on your dash, most cars this sensor is not connected to your PCM and removing it will not affect anything. Or you could install a T-fitting. Just curious how to to install this. I have a little probe with two wires coming from it.

Does your sensor look something like the one in the pic below ... if so, you can screw it into the test port on the side of the trans (if it's not too long), or put a manifold on the trans output line and screw it into that.

I did an installation guide on installing an Autometer trans temp gauge ... https://www.f150online.com/forums/ar...9-f-150-a.html, and I'm pretty sure there's a thread around where a guy installed a set of GlowShift gauges. A little search, there's a lot of good info/pics out there.

There's a little testport that it should screw right into, thats how I did mine. It comes up slower than my Edge, and sometimes reads higher, but I believe its giving more of a truer temp reading.

Drivers side in the middle lol. I'll get a pic and upload it to photobucket, don't think I'll have time to post it here today.

I don't have a flash and its dark under my truck. But hopefully this pic will help. There is a plug on the drivers side of the trans, right in front of the shift linkage. That's where I put my sending unit in at. I believe it was a 10mm bolt, but the thread is 3/8 NPT and my sending unit was a 7/16.
