Interior LEDs

I have a 2000 F150 and i am wanting to convert my dome light to a cool white led style. Im just seeing if you guys could shoot me a link to what you've had the best experience with. I am also curious about how to change out the bulbs that are manually switched on on the sides. I appreciate the help

The bulbs are all festoon style, and I want to say 44 mm in length.

To change the bulbs, you have to pop off the cover of the dome light. Do this by placing you hand on the lens, palm up, and squeezing if together while pulling down carefully. From here you can access the middle dome light.

To remove the side map lights, you will have to remove 3 screws on the dome itself, because it is screwed into the ceiling/headliner. After you remove the screws, the dome light will can come off. Just unplug the harness connector, and remove the map lights from there.

You can get LED bulbs from www.V-LEDs.com (there is a coupon code thread here in the Lighting section), or you can go to www.superbrightleds.com.

Yup, all 3 are interchangeable.

And I found last night they are actually 42 mm, not 44 as I originally posted.

42 and 44 are very close. yes both will work, 42 fits a little easier(atleast in my experiences they have) and usually manufacturers put more leds on a 44 although it does vary since there are so many out there.

I have a 04 reg cab so mine required three 42-44 and due to personal preference of the bulb type, I wound up with 42 on the outside and 44 for the middle

I ended up getting 1 blue and 2 cool white 44mm from superbright leds. I got the leds that said they were the brightest in that style they offer so hopefully theyll be good. I went with the concept of when i open the doors the interior is lit up blue but i still have the map lights as white to be very functional to see with

You'll really enjoy the light output inside, now that I think of it there is tons more than stock. One of the bulbs beit the middle or one of the maps, the 44mm is too long it seems but fits and works, the other socket(s) a 44mm works perfect. Either way all 44mm's work.
