help HID
So i have projector headlights.
So how do I put HID light in them?
There are 2 bulbs for the low beam and the high beam, high beam is very bright, but i would like brighter for the low beam.
On the lights it says both the high and low beam bulbs are H1. However, would i have to buy H11's to plug into the stock plug and just get H1 bulbs??
Also both the low and high beams are wired in the same plug.
So would i lose my high beams if i installed HIDs?
These are the lights i have.

You can run HID bulbs in the low beams without sacrificing the high beams. Since the high beams are a separate from the low, you can just figure out which wires are for the high beam, and jump them off to the separate bulb. Then you will be safe to use a single beam HID bulb

The 09-10s use H11s as stock bulbs? I thought they were H13, which is a dual filament bulb?
At least from the description, it seems your lights do support HIDs.
I'm not sure how your headlight wiring is set up. On the F150s, it's normally an H13 plug that plugs directly to the bulb, right? On the 03-06 Expeditions (which are dual beam), you have a large connector that plugs into the back of the headlight. From there, the internal wiring splits into the low beam and high beam, each with their own connector. How is your headlight setup? If it's like the Expeditions, when you get the H1 kit, just plug it in to the H1 low beam connector, and you're set. If not, then you'll have to figure out which of the 3 wires is ground, 12V low beam, 12V high beam.
As a heads up, I know it's the problem with the 04-08 (and probably the early models as well) where the low beam shuts off every time you turn on your high beams.

Normally with lights like he got, they will come with a connector that splits the original wiring into 2 sets for the separated bulbs. That may be the case, in which he may not have to jump his high beams off from the stock harness.
OP, can you post pictures of how your headlights are wired to the truck, or at least a picture ofthw back of the headlight?
