Clicking noise with the vent on?

Clicking noise with the vent on?

When im driving with the vent on I get a clicking noise every 45 seconds or so, is this normal? Again its the vent on low turned all the way to the right. thanks

Thje A/C compressor should be engaging in every mode with the exclusion of Floor and Panel.

The click is probably just the compressor engaging. (This is how the '97 is anyway)

vent on low all the way to the right does not make sence. unless you are useing the defrost mode. that is all the way to the right. and the air flow is coming out at the windshield not the dash, and if so. then yes that is your a/c comp cycling. it is used to take moisture out of the air to help with defrosting the windows in cold conditions. the vent all the way to the right threw me a little. so i hope this helps.
