Question Refrigerant Replacement

Has anyone used Freeze 12 or Hot Shot. If so what kind of results have you had? These products are suppose to cool better than R12 or R134.

I use R-406 in my 88 F-150 with no problems. The evaporator temperature is a bit cooler than R-12 and the pressures are close to the same as R-12. No oil change or fldush is necessaryt as R-406 is compatabile with mineral based oil. It is available from www.autofrost.com. I also use it in my 90 Crown Vic with no problems. If you have leaks it is not a good idea to use it because it is an aztrophic mixture.
