Blower motor short 2012 F150

Anyone else see this? Blower was intermittent on my wife's truck, then just quit. Replaced the relay, as that's what Google said it was, but no dice. Then pulled the lead off the motor, and this is what I found. After pulling it out, and plugging it back in, it works. No fuses were blown, but it looks like it almost melted down. I don't really want her to catch on fire when she's driving, so I'd like to find the source of the problem. Anyone have any advice?

I would start by replacing the connector, and try putting a 30amp fuse in place of the 40amp. See if it goes pop.

It's #51 in the engine compartment.

Replace both the blower motor and the connector pigtail.

Hi there! I would be happy to look into your F-150’s AC issues on my end. To get started, could you please send a private message over with the name/location of your local Ford dealer and your F-150’s VIN?
