I have looked all over the Internet trying to find a straight forward answer to get I to the AC evaporator. Everyone says to take the dash out to get to the whole box with the heater core evaporator and blower motor but they only ever say take out the plastic parts(honestly don't think they have ever done this job before). I did that and still couldn't get to it to get it out. The steel subframe was still surrounding the entire system. So this is basically to help anyone trying to get theirs out in a 2004-08ish f150 before they break a brittle sun baked dash into a thousand pieces like I did. It's a lot easier to pop off the plastics covering subframe bolts and take everything out as one piece. Also there where no guides for trucks with center consoles that have the shifter there that are attached to the dash which all would have to be removed also along with at least one seat to get the dash out of the truck.
