heater blows cold at idle
I recently purchased a 2014 STX 5.0 and it blows cool air until i put my foot on the accelerator - cold air at idle
I let the truck warm up in the driveway for about 10-15 minutes and when i get into its blowing cool air. Is this normal? The gauge shows that the truck is running cool and goes up to operating temp when i hit the gas - then i get hot air and continue to get hot air.
The cooling system has been flushed and the radiator fluid is correct.
Is this normal? I used the same startup/warming procedure with my former ranger and when i would get into it on a cold winter morning it was tasty warm??
Thank you in advance RR

sounds like a plan. i started thinking about it after i posted and figured it was either thermostat or lazy water pump or possible restriction in the lines. going with path of least resistance - i am picking up a new thermostat after work.
