2002 F150 - Locating Coolant Leak

I bought this truck two months ago from a Ford dealer...it only has 26k on it.

Two days ago. and 500 miles later. I started to smell coolant and found a puddle on the ground, just in front of the firewall on the passenger side of the engine. The smell of coolant is evident inside the cab, but no leaking or puddling that I've found on the floorboard, unless it's under the vinyl floor covering. I also am unable to see/find any coolant leaking up/around/near where the heater hoses connect to the heater core pipes where they pass through the firewall.

If the leak is from the heater core, is there a drain hole in the heater core box that would discharge the coolant to the outside? I can't figure out where the leaking is coming from.

This is my first Ford truck, which replaced my 24 year old S10! As you might gather, I like to them running

Thanks!

The drain for the condensate pan comes out in that area. After you park it, put a cup or a pan under that area to see if it is coolant or clear water from the A/C condensation.
