Outside temperature sensor

The external temperature reading is stuck on 37 degrees F and it's been 45-65 degrees all week. After forum searching I'm a little concerned that I may have a bigger problem, auto cabin temperature control. Is this true? And is this the correct part in question, Electronic Automatic Temperature Control (EATC)? Is there a way to clean or quick fix/check the sensor?

I have a 2010 SCREW FX4 with 50k miles.

The inlet for the cabin temp is located to the bottom left of the AC controls. Its three or four slots in the plastic.

I dont know for sure if the temp sensor itself is outside or integrated into the control head
