Heater Core Foam

I plan on replacing my dead heater core. I have the new core, hoses and blend door.
I'm trying to locate the foam that is used to wrap around core to seal. I have read to use that when replacing core but the guys at the auto parts store don'r seem to know what I'm talking about.
Anyone got suggestions on what to use?

Thanks,
Kenny

I picked up a roll of 2" adhesive backed foam at Home Depot when I did mine in my Expedition. Worked perfect. There's enough on the roll to do about 10 heater cores. Hope I don't need any more.

(I got the same look at the auto parts store.)

Actually, the project seems worse than it is if you haven't done it before. A 12 year old could do most of it. It's just time consuming.

Good Luck.
